About Us

Hi, I’m Joshua Onden-Lim, a physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience and a genuine love for helping people step into their best self. I studied at the University of Sydney and started my career in public hospitals across Dubbo, Camden, and Campbelltown. While I learned a lot in those early years, it was in private practice that I found my stride, connecting with people one-on-one and helping them work toward goals that really matter to them.

I take a thoughtful, personalised approach to treatment, blending clinical reasoning with hands-on care, movement, and clear communication. I have a particular interest in treating TMJ, running and dance injuries.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does physiotherapy cost in Sydney?

Physiotherapy sessions in Sydney typically range from $90 to $150, depending on the clinic, practitioner experience and session length. At our Lidcombe clinic, initial consultations are $130 and follow-up consultations are $120. Our consultations are 40-45 minutes, allowing time for assessment, treatment and exercise guidance.

No referral needed – you can book straight in! Physiotherapists are primary healthcare providers in Australia, which means you don’t need to see a GP first.

However, if you’re planning to claim through Medicare (like with a Chronic Disease Management plan), you’ll need a referral from your GP for that.

Yes, in some cases! If you have a chronic health condition, your GP might refer you under a GP Chronic Condition Management (GPCCMP), formerly known as GP Management Plans (GPMP), Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan or an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan. This gives you up to five Medicare-subsidised visits to allied health providers each calendar year, including physiotherapy.

You’ll need a referral from your GP, and the current Medicare rebate is $61.80 per session. After each appointment, you simply pay the full fee, and we can help you claim your rebate on the spot.

Yes! Most private health insurance policies with extras cover include physiotherapy. The amount you can claim back depends on your fund and your level of cover but we can swipe your card on the spot so you only pay the gap.

Yes! We’re happy to treat patients under WorkCover or Compulsory Third Party (CTP) claims. All you need is a claim number and your case manager’s contact details, and we’ll take care of the rest.
At this stage, we don’t offer physiotherapy under NDIS or DVA. However, we’re always happy to guide you toward the right services or answer any questions you may have.

To help us get the most out of your session:

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area we’re treating. For example, a loose-fitting shirt or singlet top helps for neck and shoulder injuries. Also, loose-fitting pants or shorts helps for injuries along the leg.
  • Bring any scans, reports, or referrals you may have from your doctor or specialist.
  • If you have private health insurance, bring your card or have your fund’s app ready so we can process your rebate on the spot.

If you’re unsure about anything, feel free to contact us before your appointment- we’re happy to help.

We’ll start by asking questions about your issue, including your history, symptoms, and what makes it better or worse.

From there, we’ll carry out a hands-on assessment, which may include looking at your movement, identifying areas of soreness or stiffness, and using specific tests relevant to your condition.

Based on what we find, we’ll usually focus on one main treatment approach. This helps us understand what is contributing to your symptoms and how your body responds.

You’ll also be given something to work on at home before your next session, if follow-up is needed.

You’ll find us in Studio D within IMI Entertainment, located at 9 East Street, Lidcombe NSW 2141. There’s plenty of free parking both on-site and along the street, so getting here is easy.

No more waiting for countless hours at the Emergency Department.

If your injury is less than 10–14 days old, we may apply a plaster backslab first. This is because swelling is common early on, and a full cast might become too loose or too tight as swelling changes, which can cause complications.

After the swelling has settled (around 10–14 days), we can discuss switching to a synthetic (fibreglass) cast, which is lighter and stronger. We may also be able to provide waterproof materials, provided you don’t have any open wounds near the fracture.

Your doctor will advise how long you’ll need to keep the cast on and may arrange follow-up scans to monitor healing.

When it’s time to remove the cast, we’ll use a special cast saw—it might look intimidating, but it only cuts the cast, not your skin. After removal, we’ll guide your recovery by helping you regain movement, strength, and control.

Yes! Dry needling is a low-risk treatment when done by a qualified professional. The most common side effects are mild bruising, muscle soreness, or feeling a bit tired afterward. These usually pass quickly and are well tolerated by most people.

Yes, we offer physiotherapy appointments on Sundays at our Lidcombe clinic. Sunday sessions are ideal if you’re busy during the week or want to stay on top of your recovery and training. Availability may be limited, so booking in advance is recommended.

Yes, we offer evening physiotherapy appointments at our Lidcombe clinic. This can be helpful if you’re working during the day or prefer to attend after hours. Availability may be limited, so booking ahead is recommended.

When looking for a physiotherapist in Lidcombe, it can help to consider their experience, areas of interest, and whether their approach aligns with your goals. For example, some physiotherapists focus on sports injuries, running-related concerns, or jaw pain (TMJ), while others offer more general care.

Reading reviews, understanding what’s involved in the consultation, and choosing a clinic that offers personalised care can help you make an informed decision. Finding a physiotherapist you feel comfortable with is an important part of your recovery.

This depends on your condition, how long it has been present, and your goals. Some issues improve quickly, while others may require a structured plan over several weeks.

Some people notice changes within the first few sessions, while others may take longer depending on the nature of the issue. Consistency with treatment and exercises plays an important role.

You may consider seeing a physiotherapist if your pain is not improving, is affecting your daily activities, or keeps returning. You can also consider seeing a physiotherapist if you want to be proactive in reducing the risk of injuries.

Yes, physiotherapy can assist with jaw pain by addressing muscle tension, joint movement and contributing factors such as posture and neck function.

If your running injury is not improving, keeps returning, or is affecting your training, it may be helpful to see a physiotherapist. Early guidance can help you stay active while managing symptoms.

Recurring running injuries are often related to factors such as training load, strength, and movement patterns. Addressing these can help reduce the likelihood of symptoms returning.

In many cases, staying active with appropriate modifications is helpful. A physiotherapist can guide you on what to continue and what to adjust based on your condition.

We provide personalised physiotherapy and rehabilitation tailored to your needs. Our physiotherapists communicate in English and can also use translation tools to support patients from diverse language backgrounds, including Korean.
